How it works
- We ask like a customer. A handful of everyday questions, such as "best roofer in Columbus", sent to a ChatGPT-style engine and a Perplexity-style engine, with web search on.
- We read the answers. Which businesses are named, and which websites are cited.
- You see the gaps. If you are missing, you see who gets named instead and which sources the AI trusts. If you want it fixed, tell us and our team will follow up.
Questions
Is this the same as what ChatGPT shows my customers?
Not exactly. We query AI models through their developer APIs with web search turned on. Those answers are close to, but not identical to, what the consumer apps show, and they are not personalized to the person asking.
Why can my result change if I run it again?
AI answers vary from run to run. In our own testing, the same question can name noticeably different businesses on a second try. Treat the score as a snapshot of this moment, not a permanent ranking.
Can anyone guarantee that AI will recommend my business?
No. Nobody outside the AI companies controls what these systems say, and anyone promising a guaranteed spot is not being straight with you. What can be done is to fix the things that make a business easier to find and trust: consistent listings, reviews, and clear pages for your service and city.
Does it check Google's AI answers too?
Not yet. This scan covers a ChatGPT-style engine and a Perplexity-style engine. Google's AI answers are a separate system we do not measure today.
What do you do with my email?
We use it to show you your results and may email you about Vouch. We never sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
